REBIT LTD was founded in May 2000 with a focus on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) consultancy and Leadership Development. These were areas that the founding members had a passion for delivering and today forms the core function of the services delivered by the organization. Today with its local and international partners REBIT delivers both verticals with a focus on ensuring that our customers gain the slight edge that is required to achieve their business goals.

Information Technology Development

In the year 2000 REBIT formed a strategic alliance with a Washington DC based company (Convergent Communications) to pursue via an outsourced model technical training for staffers and customers of CISCO Systems. CISCO is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the United States. The work involved course development and technical training in Enterprise and Service Provider Voice over Data Design Implementation and Sales.

REBIT realized very early that there were unique skills developed by Caribbean ICT professionals that could be exported to the US. Many of our professionals in ICT by necessity need to be “jacks of all trades”. This ability when placed in front of new or emerging technologies and an ICT culture that fragments itself and builds skills via vertical technology silos, allows our Caribbean professionals to build credibility and quick adaptation in training and course development scenarios.

Today the relationship with Convergent Communications continues where combined resources are used to facilitate IT Consultancy in Security, and Voice over IP.

Leadership Development

In 2004 REBIT began working in the area of Leadership development after noticing the need for a new breed of Leadership in Trinidad and the Caribbean. Today one of ReBIT's directors is an official licensee and agent with LMI
and FMI for all of the LMI prducts and services.

Other Services

REBIT is also today fully engaged in Customer Service Training, IT Training, Course Development and Workforce Development.

Gail Francis  (BSc. Gen.) – Director REBIT LTD  

Gail is Trinidadian by birth educated at the University of the West Indies where she gained an undergraduate degree in Social Science General (Economics and Management). She has five years experience within the Retail area of banking at RBTT Bank. She later moved into the Training and Consultancy field at Roytec gaining six years of experience as a Trainer and Consultant. Gail is also a member of the Association on Female Executives of Trinidad and Tobago (AFETT).   Her core competencies include the following:

Martin Francis (BSc.  & Masters in Computer Science) – Managing Director REBIT LTD

Martin is Trinidadian by birth educated at the University of the West Indies where he gained an undergraduate and postgraduate Degree in Computer Science. He has been in the IT field since 1985 and has also lectured at the University of the West Indies from 1991 to 1993. He has held several senior IT management positions at companies such as:

  • RBTT Bank (Communications Manager)
  • Indel, Curacao (Senior IT Consultant)
  • Convergent Communications Inc., Washington DC (Director Caribbean Sales)
  • Computer & Controls Ltd. (Chief Operations Officer)
